About Us

We’re sisters Carole Tufeld and Patty Dickman—two lifelong travelers who share a deep love for Mahjong! Our passion for the game began with our mom, Roz a lifelong Mahjong player who taught us both. Every time we sit down to play, we think of her, and launching Tile Travelers Mahjong Retreats feels like a heartfelt tribute to her memory.

As travel agents, we’ve spent years planning trips for family and friends. Now, through Tile Travelers, we’re thrilled to combine our love of travel with the wonderful and ever-growing Mahjong community.

Though we don’t always get to play together—Carole lives in Los Angeles, while Patty moved to Nashville five years ago—we’ve each found amazing groups of friends through the game, and it continues to bring us joy and connection.
